when talking to chewy last night i had a interesting though which do you genrally prefer > A Happy Ending > A Sad Ending > Somwhere between the 2 (explain) (obviously you can expand more like saying u enjoy a sad plot with a happy end ect) personaly my favorite would have to be a really sad plot but more than anything i love tramatic sad and upsetting ends to episodes and shows as i feel it leaves more of a impact on me and every anime which ends in that way i always want to watch it more and im sad to see it end more than any. i do rather enjoy sad plots with a nicer end but endings are a little obvious and to common i was playing kanon visual novel last night and played shioris unique plot line and its really sad because it creates the idea she dies Spoiler Alert! To See The Content, Just Click On The Image! she lives... at the cost of ayu :'( but the thing is i picked up on one quote she said "do you like the happy endings? i do because life is sad enough as it is, happy endings are somthign we all crave to see after a tragic story" now i liked the quote because besides making me think alot about it, i acutally disagree with it. i do love happy ends after a long sad story but honestly sad ends are missed more. i enjoy plot twists which turn the sotry around from a everyday show to a tragic end  its not im weird or enjoy misserable stuff lol i just think sad ends to things are really more better is leaving impact on you and the way you think but thats just me what about you?

My personal opinion... I like happy endings to a tragic story because it just feels right... almost like a sense of accomplishment has been made. Although I feel happy endings are done to much or it's often done in such a way that it leaves me filled with disappointment. I prefer tragic endings to a happy story. My favorite kind of sad ending is were it looks like it's going to be a happy ending but then something goes wrong. But out of all the endings, I suppose a bittersweet one is what really gets tp me. Nothing fills me with more joy than to see a well writen story that ends happily with tragic results. |

happy ends are nice to see but its as you said there to commonly used making them a little off from time to time the interesting ones are the triangle ones. although its hard to explain outside romance genres, basically a 3 way thing so say u gots a love triangle cause no matter what its really sad for the one left out but its happy 2. i usually like either one or other but in these cases im fine with the mix

Happy endings are my favorite kind of endings because they provide a smooth end to a sad movie, and make me more inclined to watch it again, if I'm intimidated at all by sadness! Those are the best kinds of movies for me. |

Both. Happy endings are sometimes good, but I like sad the most. Usually a lot more emotion involved and it makes you think for a long time.
