Well, we have seen people trying do it, we ALL want it but we know that the chance to get it is almost equal to zero. Convincing the authors of Elfen Lied to continue the "complete" manga/anime. I wouldn't say that I wouldn't want it, I mean, doesn't it bother you when (SPOILER) you see a girl standing outside Kohta's door in the end? Or when Lucy looses her second horn in the gunfire? But at the same time you might say that that's what makes Elfen Lied so great =). The soo bittersweet ending. Well, anywho, I discovered, no let's say found out, about a site that wants you to sign up on a list that they later on will send in so that the authors will take into consideration to continue. No offense or anything. But the mange were completed fella :-) - and besides, I think that petition has been up on the net for just as long as the Elfen Lied anime series hitted the internet. I think the anime ending pretty much bothers any Elfen Lied fan while on the other hand, the mange ending disappoints just about 75%. So truth is, I believe that everyone wants a season 2 of the anime, or at least a last episode, leaving this as a major cliffhanger(as Sarjil would have said :-D) Is just a grave mistake. - the sad but yet true part, is that we might never see that last episode, but who knows, so many things never turns out as expected, but for now, all I think we can do is pray that someone who has personal contact with the Elfen Lied Anime Creators, will see the amount of hard work that every Elfen Lied fan is doing to pull this season 2 off. - Who knows, someday, just someday we might get lucky. And I also think the main reason why they're not making a sequel, is because it was'nt a big succes in Japan. - (whaaat...) the truth is that after all this time i am conflicted. i honestly do not know what to think and am speechless. first the ending can only mean two things, that lucy or nyu is back, or that the creators of elfen lied truly wants us to decide if lucy and nyu survived and if she came back. i just want to see more elfen lied which is natural because elfen lied was so good to me. and elfen lied is a one of a kind story it is such a great story. it is one of those stories that should be remembered because it teaches things. and and in my opinion elfen lied would have a bigger impact and elfen lied would be remembered longer if it had a conclusive ending and not a cliffhanger. we might not get a continuation which is fine, because i will always remember elfen lied because it is my favorite show, and it is the show that had the most impact on me. but one of my biggest wish is to see a continuation of elfen lied. that would be great. either way it goes, i am glad i was fortunate enough to witness elfen lied because it is a masterpiece. but still i want a continuation, i am not saying i want 500 episodes, just one more episode will do, any kind of continuation and preferably a non-cliffhanger ending would satisfy me. again i just believe that elfen lied would be remembered longer if it had a conclusive ending and a non-cliffhanger ending. something that is really good like elfen lied deserves a real ending. i still doubt that we will ever have a continuation, but god please let me be wrong, because if a continuation ever happens for elfen lied i would be so happy, and i would have a smile on my face for a month. |

I would like to see a continuation of the anime. True, the manga did get a more conclusive ending than the anime, but as I've heard the manga gets a little ridiculous. I would like to see them finish the anime. That said, making just one more episode would not be profitable. It would cost a lot of money to produce, and one episode probably wouldn't make enough profit to pay that off. Perhaps making another season would work well because that would leave room for advertising space (which is part of where TV shows make money) and more people would be willing to watch it. Ratings for a single-shot show would be lower than a series. It might take a while to convince Lynn Okamoto and the producers to make another season, but it could potentially happen. As for Elfen Lied's poor popularity, that could have been because of the show's competition at the time. Back in 2005, it had to compete with shows like Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Higurashi, One Piece, Naruto, Bleach... tons of animes. A lot of that competition still seems to be around today, but given a few years, it may thin out, giving Elfen Lied the chance it needs to become popular. It could just be a case similar to that of Zone of the Enders: it came out in the right place at the wrong time, and not enough good news could be spread around before the company behind it decided to put a hold on future production. However, Kojima said that he would work on another Z.O.E. game due to popular demand. Who says the same can't happen with Elfen Lied? |

well i doubt a continatuon will happen because the makers of the elfen lied anime said the main plot of the anime was a love story for lucy and kouta. so and i think they would not want to jeopardize ruining the series so they would like to leave it on the cliffhanger ending. i want a continuation but still i doubt it. |

I for one wouldn't want the Elfen Lied anime to be continued. I found that the ending was perfect for a series closer. However, it does give you a lot to think about considering how it ends, with that shadowy figure behind the gate. But I still feel the ending was perfect, and that it shouldn't be continued. Everyone should know that Nyuu is behind the door, I meen come on, who else could it possably be? |

if it was nyu it would not make much sense, lucy does not need nyu anymore because she had confronted kouta with what happened in the train, lucy was hiding behind nyu so she would not have to face kouta, but again like i said lucy did confront kouta in the end. even if it does not make sense i know it was either nyu or it could have been lucy, so in the end i am very happy that one of them are behind the door. and about the continuation thing. it is simple, i love elfen lied and i simply want more. but a part of me does not want a continuation because i would be very afraid because i would not want them to kill lucy and considering that this is elfen lied, there would be a significant possibility that they would kill lucy if they make a continuation, i would not mind if they give lucy a redeeming and a happy maybe she would get to see kouta in her death that would make lucy happy but i do not want lucy to die a sad and depressing death. so yeah basically i absolutely want a continuation because i just love elfen lied. but if that becomes true and a continuation does happen than please god let lucy survive or at least let her die happily by kouta. the only thing i would be afraid of is if they kill lucy in a depressing which is a big probability considering that this is elfen lied. in the end i know the ending meant either of 2 things , either lucy or nyu survived and is behind the door, or they want us to decide , which of course to me would mean lucy survived. either ways i am very happy with elfen lied and its 13 episodes and the ova. but a continuation of any kind would be great and would make me very happy. sorry if i type a lot, i just can not help it. ......
